Google Scholar Tips

Google scholar is useful! Use it to check professor's research strength and impact. Check h-index: Number of times the professor's paper is cited. i10-index: How many of his papers have been cited by more than 10 times. Take this as a grain of salt, the number can vary depending on the research domain. Check which journal or conference the papers are submitted to. CSCE normally submit to conferences. There are easy and hard conferences, check CORE ranking, which ranks how difficult a conference is to accept a paper. A is most difficult and C is easy. Google scholar has email notification feature to receive up to date new papers of your interest. You can check the researches after a certain research by checking the citations of the original paper.
